What is the HGC

The Texas Healthcare Trustees Healthcare Governance Conference is a THA Event that draws nearly 500 hospitals trustees and chief executive officers from Texas hospitals of all types, sizes, and locales. This popular event combines multiple peer networking engagements with educational sessions specifically for hospital trustees.

The Texas Hospital Association is one of the largest hospital associations in the country. Thus, it was founded in 1930 and during all this time, the THA has become the advocate for the state’s hospitals and health care systems. It also represents more than 85% of the hospital and health care systems, which employ some 365,000 health care professionals.

As a nonprofit, the THA’s mission is to ensure quality, compassionate, affordable, and accessible health care systems to all Texans. For Hospitals, the THA is seen as the go-to resource and leader in hospital-related education, advocacy, and information.
